Our Story
The company was founded in 1946 by Eric Arenberg as "Eric Arenberg and Sons," marking the inception of the first marine contracting business in southern Cape May County. Eric and his sons played a pivotal role in constructing many of the bulkheads along the bay from Cape May to Egg Harbor Township.
In 1972, Eric's son Harold, affectionately known as "Dutch," took over the business, renaming it "Harold Arenberg Inc. Marine Construction." Dutch was renowned for his dedication to quality and honest work, values he instilled in his sons.
Continuing the Family Legacy
In 1992, brothers Dan and Jeff Arenberg took the helm of H. Arenberg Marine Construction, ensuring the family’s tradition of excellence in marine craftsmanship lived on. As the fourth generation, Keith Arenberg, Eric’s great-grandson, grew up working alongside his uncles and learning every detail of the trade. Today, Keith carries that legacy forward, running the business alongside his Uncle Jeff.
Together, they continue to uphold the company’s reputation for delivering durable, efficient, and high-quality marine construction solutions across Cape May County and beyond.
